Title: Search for the Higgs Boson and Beyond

Abstract:
As is well known, after a lengthy search a particle consistent with
the properties of the Standard Model Higgs Boson was found at the
Large Hadron Collider. After the discovery further measurements were
done before the LHC went into a shutdown period for upgrades to its
energy and luminosity. As it is gearing up for a restart, we will
briefly review what made the discovery possible with the goal of
identifying the future of the Higgs and related research at the LHC.
